Ampfing is the second stop of the IAME Series Germany season in 2024. Just three weeks after the season opener in Mülsen, Saxony, we are back in southern Germany and travels to Bavaria. The X30 Juniors and X30 Seniors classes will once again be competing at the Schweppermannring.
Both fields were already well filled at the start of the season, and this will not change for the second of six stages of the IAME one-make cup. Almost 50 seniors and 35 juniors are registered for the races.
However, apart from the unchanged number of participants, the races are expected to be completely different to those in Mülsen. The characteristics of the track have changed completely and the riders will face new challenges in tight bends on a winding course. It is questionable whether and how this will turn the championship standings upside down:
In the X30 juniors, Lars Ramaer (SIM-ON) showed himself to be in top form, can he continue this or will the competition strike back?
The dominator of the seniors from Mülsen, Kevin Lantinga, is not represented in Ampfing, so there will be a new winner. Will it be championship leader Davin Singer (CV Performance Group), or will there be other contenders at the front of the field?
That will all be revealed next weekend. The practice sessions start on Friday, followed by qualifying and the heats on Saturday. Who ultimately makes it to the finals will only be determined on Sunday in the super heats, which will lead to the decisive races. The weather forecast gives hope for a sunny weekend without changeable weather.
Es geht weiter in der IAME Series Germany
Ampfing heißt die zweite Saisonstation der IAME Series Germany im Jahr 2024. Nur drei Wochen nach dem Saisonauftakt im sächsischen Mülsen ist man in Süddeutschland und reist nach Bayern. Auf dem Schweppermannring gehen erneut die Klassen der X30 Junioren und X30 Senioren an den Start.
Bereits zum Saisonbeginn waren beide Felder gut gefüllt, daran ändert sich auch für die zweite von sechs Stationen des IAME-Markenpokal nichts. Es sind weiterhin knapp 50 Senioren und 35 Junioren für die Rennen gemeldet.
Doch abgesehen von dem gleichbleibenden Teilenehmerandrang sind gänzlich andere Rennen als in Mülsen zu erwarten. Die Streckencharakteristik ändert sich vollkommend, die Fahrer werden in engen Kurven auf einer verwinkelten Strecke vor neue Herausforderungen gestellt. Fraglich ist, ob und wie das die Meisterschaftsstände auf den Kopf stellen wird:

Wer schlussendlich in die Finals einzieht bestimmt sich erst am Sonntag in den Superheats, welche in entscheidenden Rennen münden. Der Wetterbericht lässt auf ein sonniges Wochenende ohne wechselhaftes Wetter hoffen.
